Important tips for Buying Diamond Blade

Before purchasing any type of diamond blade, you must decide which factor is more important for you: the initial cost or the cost per cut. If you are using it for low scale jobs, an inexpensive blade is what you may need. But for medium or large scale jobs, a higher priced blade is what you desired because it gives you more value as its cost per cut is lower in comparison to others. Also, two things you have to keep in mind are the horse power and type of saw you are using because these things can enhance the blade’s performance.

Most important thing in choosing a diamond blade or diamond saw blade is exactly identifying the material or surface to be cut, because there is an inter-relation between the life and cutting speed of the blade and the material which needs to be cut. Also one thing you must remember is that dry blades can be used either dry or wet, but wet blades must be used with water.

Above discussed factors can be summarized as follows:
  • Price of Blade.
  • Type of material that needs to be cut.
  • Type of cutting: wet or dry.
  • Matching saw and horsepower of blade being used.
  • Type of blade used: segmented, serrated or continuous.
